We have all been told, at least once, that we are the one, who’s in charge of and responsible for our own destiny. Although I am not in discordance with this statement; however, I also think that it overly exaggerates the actual power that each of us possesses in trying to determine the unfolding of our life.

Personal maturity and social experiences have opened our eyes to the fact that, at times, our direction in life rests in the palms of others. This is not a submissive or passive way of thinking; rather, one frustrating aspect of living the life
