A Locked Gateway

I found a gateway to meet the angel up in the sky. Unfortunately, the entrance was locked. I intended to climb over the sharp tip fence then decided not to, because it was a dangerous thing to do.

In this big big world, we all long for protection and assistance. When we are charting our own path and chasing our own dream at a place far away from home, at times, all we can do is to look up in the sky, hoping for the best in every adventure that we decide to embark on, along with some kind of divine guidance and reassurance.

We aren’t all religious. We aren’t all spiritual. Some are even a self-proclaimed atheist. That being said, we all have, at least once, thrown our head backward and stared into the aerial nothingness, praying for something that’s better than what we are experiencing at a particular moment, in a specific period, in our own lives.

Who are we praying to? Where does our prayer go? The answers are varied. Plus, none of us can be 100% sure of their legitimacy. I send my prayer, every night before I fall asleep, to a particular angel, asking him to watch over my loved ones and I. I am not sure if he had received every single prayer of mine; that being said, the simple act of whispering words of caring and love does bring me comfort and is powerful enough to make me feel protected, assisted and safe.
