Close Our Eyes To See

Beautiful landscapes are nice to look at. Once in a while, when we come across that particular one, which creates a deep resonance within us, we can’t help ourselves but feel like diving into it and becoming one with all of its elements that have unexpectedly enchanted us so profoundly at first sight.

If the world was under our control, we surely would have no problem in dictating the beautiful landscape in its permanence. The truth of the matter is that we don’t have the ultimate say in deciding the trajectories of the world. Many worldly events unfold on their own terms. The uncontrollable circumstances have the potential to turn a beautiful landscape into a nightmarish rubble in a minute’s notice. There are just so much uncertainties in the air.

Nothing is permanence in its essence. That being said, we can make the things we love permanent by saving them in our memory. Although a formerly beautiful landscape is now a nightmarish rubble; however, when we close our eyes, we can still see, vividly, all of its glories in our cherished memory.
